Senior Business Development Manager - Fast-Growth Events & Media Business
Hybrid London | Base Salary up to 55,000 + Uncapped Commission

Our client is a rapidly expanding events and media organisation operating across financial technology and emerging tech sectors. They deliver high-impact conferences, events, hosted buyer programmes and year-round marketing solutions for global technology providers and enterprise organisations.
As they continue to scale, they are now looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to play a key role in accelerating revenue growth across sponsorship sales, bespoke partnerships and integrated marketing campaigns.
The Role
In this senior commercial position, you'll take ownership of driving new business revenue across a diverse portfolio of events and digital products. This is a consultative, solution-led sales role where you will design and sell campaigns combining live events, content, digital engagement, and thought-leadership.
You'll thrive if you enjoy proactive outreach, strategic pipeline creation and building long-term value for clients looking to increase brand visibility, generate demand, and reach decision-makers across high-growth industries.
Key Responsibilities
New Business

  • Generate and convert new prospect pipelines.
  • Close sponsorship, partnership and marketing service deals.
  • Grow multi-product and multi-event revenue.
Integrated Campaign Sales
  • Create tailored event and digital campaign solutions.
  • Align client goals with customised packages.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery.
Outbound & Pipeline Growth
  • Target senior decision-makers through proactive outreach.
  • Use social selling and email to open high-quality conversations.
  • Continuously refine outreach tactics.
Market Insight & Client Support
  • Stay updated on industry trends.
  • Advise clients on maximising campaign ROI.
  • Feed insights into product and service development.
Collaboration
  • Support forecasting, planning and wider commercial initiatives.
About You
  • Strong background in B2B sponsorship sales (a minimum of 2 years experience), partnerships or commercial business development. Exposure to events, media, digital marketing or thought-leadership sales.
  • Demonstrable success in exceeding revenue targets and driving new business.
  • Experience selling integrated or multi-channel marketing solutions.
  • Highly proactive with excellent outbound communication skills (phone, email, LinkedIn).
  • Confidence in engaging senior stakeholders and C-suite leaders.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and consultative sales abilities.
  • Experience working in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot or similar CRM tools.
