Responsibilities:
Carcass Breakdown:
Expertly handle a full range of meats.
Stock Management:
Order, rotate, and minimize wastage.
Team Training:
Develop and guide the butchery team.
Standards Maintenance:
Support the Meat & Fish Manager in upholding high standards and delivering great results.
Creative Displays:
Create eye-catching displays to impress and attract our customers.
Customer Service:
Provide professional and approachable customer service with relevant product advice.
Compliance:
Follow all relevant legislation and food hygiene standards.
Fish Counter:
Cover the fish counter during breaks and busy periods, with opportunities to develop fish preparation skills.
Key Qualities:
Recent experience in meat and poultry handling.
Leadership skills to manage the team in the manager's absence.
Passion for food and career progression.
Excellent customer service and sales skills.
Strong organizational skills and teamwork.
High standards of personal presentation.
Knowledge of food hygiene and relevant legislation.
Experience in fish and seafood preparation is an advantage.
Hours & Benefits:
Hours:
40 hours per week(average shift length 8 hours)
Schedule:
5 days a week to include some weekends and Bank Holidays.
