Job Description

We're looking for a

Senior Buyer

to join our Purchasing team and play a key role in building a resilient, efficient supply chain. You'll lead sourcing activities, manage supplier performance, and drive cost-control initiatives while ensuring best-in-class procurement practices across the organisation.

What you'll do:

Conduct supplier audits and assess technical capabilities. Manage RFQs for material requirements and NPI projects. Negotiate competitive pricing, lead times, and cost reductions. Monitor supplier KPIs, SLAs, and compliance with quality standards. Source complex components and tooling globally. Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams. Support NPI projects and technical procurement requirements. Drive continuous improvement and value-engineering initiatives.

What we're looking for:

Strong purchasing experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/MRP systems (Dynamics 365 advantageous). Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Strong organisational and analytical capability.
Desirable:

CIPS qualification or working towards it. Experience in Automotive, Rail, Aerospace, or Engineered Components sectors. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and NPI projects.
