As part of their ongoing growth, they are now seeking an experienced
Senior Buyer
to join their procurement team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective sourcing of key parts and equipment that support their servicing and supply operations.
The Role
As Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for managing procurement across a wide range of mechanical and electrical components, liaising with suppliers locally and internationally, and ensuring parts availability to support customer demand and service contracts.
Key responsibilities:
Manage the sourcing and procurement of generators, spare parts, and electrical/mechanical components.
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to secure competitive pricing and reliable lead times.
Work closely with the service and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of stock for installations and repairs.
Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, resolving any issues related to quality, pricing, or delivery.
Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and supply chain efficiencies.
Maintain accurate procurement records, forecasts, and inventory data.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in a buying or procurement role within a technical, engineering, or supply-based environment.
Strong supplier negotiation and vendor management skills.
Knowledge of electrical and mechanical components (experience in the power generation sector is a bonus).
Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement or inventory software systems.
