We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Senior Cabinet Maker/Joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and joinery, with the ability to create high-quality cabinetry and furniture pieces. This role requires precision, attention to detail and the ability to work with various materials and tools. The Cabinet Maker/Joiner will be responsible for fabricating, assembling and finishing furniture pieces according to specifications, ensuring that all products meet our high standards of quality.
Responsibilities
Fabricate and assemble custom cabinets and furniture pieces from wood and other materials, working from templates, technical drawings, CAD and from one's own experience.
Assemble components using hand tools and power tools, ensuring accuracy in measurements.
Perform joinery techniques to create strong, durable connections between pieces.
Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet design specifications.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Collaborate with designers and clients to understand their requirements and provide expert advice on materials and finishes.
Handle heavy lifting as required during the assembly process.
Meet deadlines and production targets - by managing your own workload.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker or similar role in woodworking.
Strong knowledge of joinery techniques and cabinetry construction methods.
Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and machinery related to cabinet making.
Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
Experience with finishing techniques is advantageous.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods of time.
Knowledge of Auto CAD and operating CNC Routers - may be useful but not essential
