Summary
We are seeking a skilled Calibration Engineer to lead and manage our dynamic team in our Norwich calibration lab & also oversee our BSI Accreditation in our London Lab. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our test equipment, contributing directly to our mission of providing exceptional service and support to our clients.
Responsibilities
Perform calibration of various test instruments to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures to enhance reliability.
Develop and maintain calibration procedures and documentation.
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve product designs based on calibration findings.
Manage our BSI 9001:2015 Quality Management System
Provide technical support for customers regarding calibration processes.
Train staff on calibration techniques and best practices.
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in calibration technologies.
Lead, direct, and delegate the workflow of calibration lab activities.
Hold the team accountable to ensure quality and efficiency.
Collaborate with internal and external customers to resolve product-related issues.
Manage and maintain lab inventory.
Develop formulas and solve measurement/calibration problems.
Qualifications
Proven experience in calibration engineering or a similar role.
Strong expertise in electronic and calibration standards.
Strong electrical & mechanical knowledge and understanding.
Proficiency in root cause analysis methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
