Fairtrade Foundation are recruiting for a Senior Campaigns Manager to oversee the development of campaign actions, mechanics and activities that grow public support for fairer global trade. This role will lead on the development and design of campaign mobilisation approaches that drive up support and action from the UK public, particularly among younger people, and ensure ongoing public engagement with our advocacy goals.
This role will also support the Head of Campaigns in the development and delivery of the Foundation's overarching campaigning strategy, including stakeholder engagement and coalition building, with the aim of driving change in partnership with businesses, government, civil society, and other decision-makers in order to achieve trade justice
You'll need to be an excellent relationship builder and passionate advocate with experience in campaign management, public engagement, and building public mobilisation approaches. You will also need to be able to quickly adapt and respond to changing political and public landscapes, have strong creative, strategic thinking and evaluation skills and experience of managing and using campaigning software platforms such as Engaging Networks to drive engagement. If you have experience of event management, working with ambassadors and a background in the global development or sustainability sectors that's great, but it's not essential.

Role Purpose

Key responsibilities and accountabilities
Growing public support
Lead on the development and design of public mobilisation approaches that leverage the influence of the UK's Fairtrade grassroots movement and engage the wider public, particularly younger people, in driving action by politicians and businesses to achieve trade justice.
Strategic support
Support the Head of Campaigns in the design and execution of a responsive and robust campaigning strategy that will grow support from younger audiences, innovate our offer and build relationships and networks to increase reach and engagement.
Collaboration
Collaborate with the Public Affairs, Media and Marketing teams to deliver high-quality, on-brand campaigning actions, resources and communications that utilise and support Fairtrade's influencing and brand strategies
Team Support
Provide senior support and guidance to the Junior Managers in the Campaigns team, supporting them in assessing
and innovating partnerships and delivering high-quality engagement activities across audiences. Line manage the Campaigns Officer, providing development and coaching
Monitoring impact
Monitor the impact of the team's annual mobilisation and engagement activities. Lead on ensuring that the team are capturing and communicating results, learnings and recommendations for reporting against the organisations objectives and KPIs.
Data Management:
Ensure adherence to Fairtrade data gathering and policies across the team's day-to-day work.

Person Specification
Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
Proven experience in campaign management, public engagement, and building public mobilisation approaches.
Strong project management experience, including delivering projects on time and within scope.
Experience in senior stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
Strong understanding of advocacy and public engagement strategies
Experience of developing youth strategies and growing youth support
Experience of leading and engaging in coalitions and networks to drive change
Desired:
Experience in the non-profit or sustainability sector
Knowledge of trade and Global Development trends
Experience collaborating with international partners and stakeholders
Experience of line management

Essential:
