Job Description


An international consultancy is seeking a Senior Carbon Engineer to enhance their offering in relation to Decarbonisation and Embodied Carbon. Their goal is to work towards a regenerative future in which all projects make a positive impact within the communities they serve locally and globally
They deliver projects across a broad-spectrum including science and technology, healthcare, commercial, pharmaceutical, mixed use and commercial. Their work has been recognized and commended with a number of industry awards.

Job Summary/Responsibilities
The role will sit within the wider sustainability team, with a view to growing the \'carbon\' offering and consultancy service. Candidates with an engineering or sustainability background, with at least 5+ years experience within the building services sector will be considered.

  • Provide support to the activities of the \'Carbon\' workstream and feed into the wider sustainability team.
  • Develop and guide in the delivery of decarbonisation strategies on projects.
  • Engage in the development of Net Zero Carbon Roadmaps for portfolios and companies.
  • Undertake embodied carbon studies and identify opportunities to provide a reduction in embodied carbon.
  • Deliver training programmes for clients and for colleagues.
  • Support and develop junior staff.
  • Receive and execute instructions from Project Leads
  • Act as internal project manager for projects, taking on the role of client contact, lead designer, resource planner and contribute to financial planning such as fee discussions and invoicing.
Qualifications/Experience
  • Hold a relevant degree in engineering / architecture / science and have experience in the built environment sector.
  • Able to understand in interpret existing building services systems, their components and how they operate.
  • Developing relationship building and client management skills.
  • Experience of delivering high-quality technical reports.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high standard of written English.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Team, etc.
  • Moderate ability in the use of Adobe InDesign.
  • Basic ability in the use of Autodesk REVIT.
