The Bridge is a luxury 72 bedded care home, providing both residential and a unit for those living with Dementia. The home opened in February 24.

Shifts



07.45-20.00hrs



2 week rolling Rota, Wk1- 3 nights & Wk2- 4 nights, includes every other Weekend.



Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care within a reputable care home. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for supporting the well-being of our residents. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your supervisory experience and make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults. The position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to delivering high standards of senior care.

Duties



Supervise and support junior care staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality care in accordance with care plans Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility Develop, review, and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, reporting any changes or concerns promptly Encourage social engagement and organise activities that promote residents' independence and happiness Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, adhering to legal and organisational standards Support the training and mentoring of new team members to uphold best practices in senior care Drive company vehicles when required for appointments or outings with residents, ensuring safe driving practices at all times

Requirements



Proven experience working within a care home environment specialising in senior care Supervising or leadership experience within a healthcare setting is highly desirable Strong communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals Knowledge of care plans, health & safety regulations, and IT systems used in healthcare settings Valid driving licence with the ability to drive company vehicles safely and responsibly Compassionate approach with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining a caring attitude NVQ level 3 in Health and Social care or equivalent required.
