Care is Central is seeking likeminded Senior Care Assistants who are compassionate, caring and dedicated to caring for others the same way we are. We are looking for individuals who can provide empathetic and person-centred care to join our well established, growing team of Care Assistants in Leighton Buzzard.

Our newly developed 63 bed residential care home is one of only two in the UK designed to meet Passivhaus standards, making it highly energy-efficient, sustainable and environmentally friendly, ensuring that we not only provide outstanding care to our residents, but an outstanding environment too.

You will be joining a supportive care team, led by hands-on management who will provide you with a comprehensive training programme.

Main Duties of a Senior Care Assistant:



To lead a team of Care Assistants on shift, organising the shift and delegating care and support To provide care and support to individuals living within the home including personal and continence care, moving and handling and medication administration To be the first point of contact and first responder in the event of an incident within the home To manage and administer medication within the home To supervise and support care staff in delivering excellent care to our residents Develop, implement and keep up to date individual care plans for those living in the home Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals Utilise IT systems for record-keeping and care planning Carrying out audits, spot checks and stock checks Assist in maintaining a safe and homely environment within the care home Support the Deputy Managers and Registered Manager as required and instructed

What We Need From You:

A minimum of 1 year's experience working in a care setting supporting vulnerable adults Be eligible to work in the UK (Please note we

do not

offer Sponsorship) Have strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written A caring nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Undertake an Enhanced DBS check (Paid for by us)
