Prestwood Coach House is a privately owned care home accommodating up to 30 residents, located in Prestwood, near Stourbridge, and offers an excellent working environment. A rare vacancy (see shift details below) has arisen within our Senior Management night team, where we have a permanent part-time position of either 20 or 30 hours a week.
As a Senior Carer you would work closely with the Manager and Deputy, taking charge of the home when they are not on duty, to deliver a needs-led service. Duties would include, but are not limited to; management and administration of medication, handover and management meetings, updating and review of care and support plans (Nourish electronic person-centred care plans), staff supervision, liaison with clients' relatives and the broad network of healthcare professionals who support the home and personal care and support to clients as needed.
Experience in a similar role is essential and candidates should have or be working towards NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care or higher. Full induction and orientation training will be provided. The successful candidate will have a positive, can-do attitude and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the needs of an elderly client group, of person-centred care, care home compliance and sound health and safety practices. They will be a good communicator and able to lead and work as part of a team.
Rotas are usually repeating and organised around 6 weeks in advance to facilitate the planning of home life and commitments.
The post is full time for 3 shifts per week (30 hours)
Shifts start at 21:30 and end at 07:30
Weekend shifts are covered on a rota basis
Each 10 hour shift includes a 50-minute paid break

The successful candidate will require an enhanced DBS check.
The home is not on a bus route so candidates would require their own transport or other arrangements would need to be considered.
