Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional support to residents in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for senior care, demonstrating strong communication skills and the ability to follow care plans effectively. This role involves working closely with residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being while fostering a supportive environment.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for residents. Supervise and assist in recreational activities, promoting social interaction among residents. Maintain accurate records of resident care and report any changes in health or behaviour to senior staff. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care. Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport. Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the care home environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or senior care setting is highly desirable. Supervising experience or leadership skills are an advantage. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with residents and team members. Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately. Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents as needed.
