In this role you will work in a variety of community settings. We believe in seeing a familiar face on a regular basis forming consistent client care and ensuring they enjoy a good quality of life. Your aim is to follow the clients care plan with dignity and respect.

As a Senior Care Worker your duties will include:

To liaise and maintain positive working relationships with clients and care staff, (this will include regular care reviews, staff spot checks and supervisions). Completing risk assessments. To assist in the planning and implementing of care packages and support plans for individual service users To coordinate the team of care workers by updating and managing their daily work schedules. To maintain accurate and timely records. To manage and delegate the allocation of support workers to specific service users in line with their individual needs and the carer's experience/expertise. To participate in staff training/development when this is deemed appropriate to new and existing staff. Ad Hoc requirements to work weekends, cover sickness or utilise bank staff. Quality monitoring and auditing. Assisting people when getting up in the morning including washing/bathing, dressing/undressing, maintaining their personal appearance and getting to bed in the evening. Helping with the preparation of meals, drinks, and snacks when necessary. Assisting with toileting and changing clothes and/or bedding where necessary. Maintaining commodes, washing clothes and bed linen (which may include soiled laundry) when necessary. Aiding with other tasks of personal daily living that the service user cannot manage and providing general support as part of a caring team. Encouraging and assisting with the management of medication, administering where necessary and monitoring health-related conditions such as dietary & fluid intake. Helping service users with mobility difficulties, or other physical disabilities, including incontinence. This includes the use of aids and other personal equipment.

Flexibility is required for this role due to the needs of the business.*

To be a successful Senior Care Worker you will have the following skills and experience:

Full UK driving licence & access to a vehicle. Experience in a senior care role Previous experience in a home care environment Ability to demonstrate a good working knowledge of care standards in domiciliary care. Good IT skills (Training will be given) Resilient, with good interpersonal skills Must be flexible and able to work weekends to cover sickness if required. To represent the company in a professional manner on the telephone, face to face or in written communication. Love working with people and enjoy giving back to your local community. Kind, caring and compassionate nature. Transferable DBS beneficial however not a necessity. Working closely with all members of staff to ensure excellent continuity is always maintained. Liaising with Care Assistants, social services and customers families, therefore excellent communication and telephone communication skills are required. Available to monitor the phones when required, to respond to contact from staff and clients. This is not an on-call telephone.
