Winash Residential Home, based in Clevedon, is a homely, safe and positive environment for elderly people to live in. We are looking for a friendly individual to lead our team alongside our other seniors. You must value person-centred care, be compassionate and keen to learn.
As a Team Leader/Senior Carer you will support residents within the care home, ensuring they receive the quality care they deserve. You will be responsible for supervising and inducting new care staff, assisting in the daily support / care of each individual, in line with their written plan of care in a person-centred way and attending training courses in line with your personal development. The role of a Senior Care Assistant is as varied as it is fulfilling.

The role requires a strong team player, supervisory skills and someone who can think quickly on their feet and trouble shoot problems and issues throughout the day. Diplomacy and sensitivity are key. You'll know when to refer issues to your line manager but you'll also be able to spot potential problems and trouble-shoot throughout the shift. You'll be used to putting others' first, building relationships of trust and resolving issues with residents' wellbeing and safety as a priority.
Hours: 36 per week
The role does include working every other weekend and shift patterns (our usual shift patterns are: 8-1, 8-4, 1-9, 4-9).
Qualifications: NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
