Essential Requirements
Extensive experience in a
Care, Complex Care or Health setting
Proven track record working at
senior level
within the care sector
Strong understanding of CQC expectations and compliance
Excellent communication and confident telephone manner
Proven experience in leading, coaching and motivating a care team
Strong rota management skills and ability to resolve staffing challenges
Driver with access to own vehicle (essential)

Key Responsibilities Care Delivery & Quality
Provide care and support in line with best practice, policies, procedures, legislation and CQC regulations
Supervise care delivery ensuring service users remain at the centre of all decision making
Ensure individual wishes, preferences and wellbeing are always prioritised
Ensure care is delivered at the correct time, duration and standard as per care plans and contracts
Assist with audits, reviews and quality monitoring to ensure continuous improvement
Team Leadership & Workforce Management
Supervise, support and guide staff across the service
Lead the onboarding, induction and training of new care staff
Foster a supportive workplace culture for both the Office Team and Care Workers
Drive collaborative working with recruitment, training, compliance and management teams
Identify staffing gaps and risks and work with management to create action plans
Act as an escalation point for the office team, offering confident decision-making and solutions
Rota, Scheduling & Operational Oversight
Lead on rota coordination and ensure safe staffing levels across all services
Monitor live calls and respond quickly to operational needs using internal software
Ensure all necessary documents and care plans are in place for new and existing service users
Support the implementation of new care packages, ensuring staff are fully briefed and supported
Multi-Agency Working
Build strong working relationships with external professionals, social workers, families and MDT teams
Attend and contribute to MDT meetings, reviews and assessments as required
, including evenings and weekends (as required)
Provide
emergency shift cover
in rare circumstances when staff shortages impact service delivery
Support the coordination team during unexpected staffing challenges
Work flexible hours when necessary to meet operational demands
Ensure 24/7 continuity of care through proactive planning and quick decision-making
Safeguarding & Compliance
Promote and uphold safeguarding of adults and children at all times
Ensure incidents, concerns and risks are reported and documented promptly
Work within GDPR and confidentiality requirements
Support the organisation to remain compliant with CQC regulations, policies and standard
