We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior care and supervisory experience, with excellent communication skills and the ability to lead and support both residents and team members. This role involves delivering high-quality care within a home environment, ensuring residents' wellbeing, safety, and comfort are prioritised at all times. A valid driving licence is desirable to facilitate transportation needs. The Senior Care Worker will play a vital role in implementing personalised care plans and fostering a positive, respectful atmosphere for all clients.
Duties
Provide personalised care to clients, supporting their physical, emotional, and social needs in accordance with care plans
Supervise and mentor junior staff members, promoting best practices and maintaining high standards of care
Lead on the development and review of individualised care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
Assist with daily activities such as mobility support, medication administration, personal hygiene, and meal preparation
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care environment
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems
Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and team members to ensure clear understanding of needs and preferences
Spot checks, QAVs, Yearly Care Plan Reviews.
Support the organisation's policies on safeguarding vulnerable adults
Must be a driver with a full UK driver's licence.
Experience
Previous experience working within the domiciliary home care or senior care setting is essential
Supervising or leadership experience in a healthcare environment is highly desirable
Knowledge of creating and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Proficiency in IT systems used for documentation and reporting purposes
Driving experience or a valid driving licence is advantageous for transportation duties
Demonstrated ability to supervise staff while maintaining a caring and respectful approach
