The Role

We are seeking an experienced

Senior Carer (Medication Trained)

to join our established team at Capel Grange Care Home. Reporting to the Deputy Manager or Registered Nurse, you will play a key role in leading care delivery, supporting staff, and ensuring residents receive outstanding care.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Carer, you will:

Lead, supervise, and support care staff on shift Safely administer medications in line with CIW guidance and company policy Deliver high-quality, person-centred care tailored to individual needs Support residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition and hydration Ensure care plans and daily records are accurate, up to date and reflective of care delivered Promote dignity, choice, independence, and safeguarding at all times Support mealtimes and engage residents in meaningful activities Act as a role model, championing best practice and Amaya Care Homes' values
About You

You will have:

Medication administration training and competency Minimum 3 years' experience working in a care home environment NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards) A strong understanding of CIW regulations and Welsh care standards A compassionate, professional, and reliable approach Excellent communication and leadership skills A commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, relationship-centred care

Shift Pattern

12-hour shifts Day or night shifts available Weekend availability required
