Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or in their own homes. This role requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in your care, ensuring their comfort and well-being through various daily activities.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients. Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions. Assist with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary. Implement behaviour management strategies as needed. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients. Document daily activities and any changes in client condition. Collaborate with healthcare professionals for case management and hospice care when required.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a nursing home or assisted living setting is preferred. Knowledge of behaviour management techniques is advantageous. Familiarity with first aid practices is beneficial. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with clients from diverse backgrounds. A caring nature and a genuine desire to help others. Certification in home care or relevant caregiving qualifications is a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 13.00-20.00 per hour
