We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Senior Carers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in our Care Home, including home care, assisted living, nursing homes, and hospice environments.
The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for clients through personalised care, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity. Responsibilities
Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Administer medication following care plans and medical instructions
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
Support clients with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
Monitor and document client conditions, behaviours, and progress in accordance with care plans
Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
Assist with mobility and transfers using proper techniques to ensure safety
Manage behaviour and implement strategies for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease
Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including toileting and feeding
Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, maintaining safe driving practices
Skills
Proven experience in senior care, dementia care or hospice environments is highly desirable
Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
First aid certification is preferred
Strong understanding of care plans and case management processes
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with clients and their families
Ability to handle heavy lifting safely when assisting clients with mobility or transfers
Organised approach to managing multiple clients' needs effectively
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
Valid driving licence for transporting clients when necessary
Experience in nursing home or care home settings is advantageous
