NVQ/SNVQ level 2 required working to Level 3 (must have attained level 3 qualification within 2 years of appointment) with experience caring for the Service User group. Knowledge and experience of working in the independent sector. To support the Manager in the overall management of the home. Assume responsibilities of the Manager in his/her absence. To create an environment which respects the rights and wishes of the residents and encourages person centred care and independence. To be responsible for the care planning process, maintaining appropriate medication and care delivery for a designated group of service users, using person centred approach. Ensuring an appropriate exchange of information between all grades of staff to promote continuity of care. Liaise with relevant parties in order to facilitate service user care and well-being.
