Priory Hospital North London is looking to recruit a Senior CBT Therapist to join the team. This is a full-time/ 37.5 role.
Located in London, in a peaceful and secluded part of Southgate, Priory Hospital North London is set within a striking Grade I listed building, overlooking beautiful parklands.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As Senior CBT Therapist, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.Deliver high-quality CBT interventions for clients with complex or severe mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and OCD.
Supervise and support junior therapists and trainees, offering clinical guidance, feedback, and development support.
Contribute to service development, including protocol design, quality improvement initiatives, and promoting evidence-based practice across the team.
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
Provide training and consultation to other healthcare professionals on CBT principles and techniques.

What you'll bring to the role

Candidates should hold a recognized qualification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and be accredited or eligible for accreditation with a professional body such as the BABCP. Extensive clinical experience working with a broad range of mental health disorders is essential, ideally within secondary care or specialized services. Strong leadership skills with experience supervising or mentoring junior clinicians are highly valued. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, and a commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
