CARRIAGES, KILMACOLM is looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Chef de Partie (CDP) to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety and culinary arts, with a passion for meal preparation and food presentation. As a Senior CDP, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of our kitchen while mentoring junior staff and ensuring the smooth operation of food service.

Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary techniques. Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation and cooking techniques. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation for various events and services. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Contribute to the creation of new recipes and dishes that align with our restaurant's vision.

Experience

Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Proficiency in various cooking techniques and cuisines, with an emphasis on high-quality meal preparation. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team. A culinary qualification or relevant training is desirable but not essential.
