We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Chef de Partie (CDP) to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong culinary background and a passion for food preparation, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. As a Senior CDP, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our kitchen, contributing to menu development and leading junior staff in their culinary tasks.
Duties
Oversee the preparation and presentation of meals, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and culinary excellence.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative cooking techniques.
Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation and cooking methods.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
Monitor and ordering stock levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain inventory.
Participate in training sessions for new staff on food safety practices and kitchen procedures.
Leading the kitchen in the absence of head chef / Kitchen Manager
Requirements
Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in culinary operations.
Excellent culinary skills with a focus on meal preparation techniques.
Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop junior team members.
A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
