We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to lead our kitchen team and deliver exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and a deep understanding of food preparation and safety standards. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality.
Responsibilities
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Oversee food preparation processes to ensure adherence to food safety regulations and standards.
Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.
Train and mentor kitchen personnel in cooking techniques, food presentation, and hygiene practices.
Maintain inventory levels of kitchen supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained in good working order and report any issues promptly.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during meal periods.
Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen at all times.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Proficient in various cooking techniques and cuisines, with a passion for culinary arts.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills with an emphasis on time management.
A relevant culinary qualification is desirable but not essential if experience is substantial.
