Job Title: Senior Chef Either Head Chef/ Sous Chef/ Chef de partie

1Salary: 14.16 per hour to 17.50 per hour 40+ Hours per week : Possible Shifts Available - 6-2pm, 2-10pm, 12-10pm, 3-11pm, 10-8pm, 8-6pm, 6-6am, Mon - Sun (5out of 7 days)

Reporting to: Head Chef/ General Manager

Overall Objective:

To provide exceptional standards of food services within the Ashford Truckstop.

Main Duties:

(HC) Head Chef (All) - Sous/ Chef de Partie

Preparation and cooking of hot and cold dishes.
Able to deligate to employees below you.
High customer service skills
Cooking breakfast items and serving
Menu design (Head Chef) Menu input and creating specials (All)
Stock taking, being accountable for stocks in general/ Levels
Food pricing/ G.P's/ Waste Control. (HC)
Ordering (All) / food pricing (HC)
Taking deliveries (All) and invoice control (HC)
Maintain cleanliness of your kitchen, ensuring others are doing the same.
Till operation and cash handling.
Employs food safety best practices and health & safety in the work place.
Excellent organisational skills and great attention to detail.
Maintain exceptionally high standard of output from the kitchen and remain calm under pressure.
Be a great team player/ leader and have a flexible approach to working hours.
*18s and over bar work and training will also be provided.

As well as the above tasks you may be called upon by a Manager and/or Senior colleague to perform other tasks which they deem reasonable.

Person Specification:

Successful candidates will have the ability to cook great food in a fast-paced environment whilst offering exceptional customer service.

Head Chef - Leadership, organisational, flexible, time keeping skill among others.

Previous Barista experience would be an advantage however full training will be provided.

Essential:

Reliable and hard working.
Flexible and courteous approach.
Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise tasks.
Excellent customer service skills.
