The right candidate for the role of chef de partie will need to be passionate about good food and work to a high standard.
Under the general guidance and supervision of the Head Chef and Sous Chef, the chef de partie will assist in the preparation and service of all sections in the Kitchen.
It is anticipated that the position of chef de partie will be undertaken over five working days followed by two days off and that the hours of work will be 8 hours each working day, covering breakfast & lunch shifts.
A flexible approach to work is required as the Company may operate a variety of shift patterns to suit the needs and demands of the business as well as the operational efficiency of the kitchen.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare food on time and to meet both quality and quantity minimising waste, correct storage procedures and exercising strict portion control.
Ensure that cost control policies and procedures are followed to maintain cleanliness in all assigned areas, including refrigerators and freezers.
Report any equipment on the section which needs repair or maintenance.
Establish and maintain effective employee relations.
Inform on a daily basis the Department head all relevant information on operational matters.
Undertake any relevant staff training deemed appropriate.
Undertake any other duties deemed appropriate by the Head or Sous Chef.
