Job Description
Steeton Hall Hotel are looking for an experienced chef to run our kitchen team.
Steeton Hall Hotel is a family run business. We are open 7 days a week, all through the year. We serve people in our restaurant, we are a 10-bedroomed hotel that serve breakfast to our residents and have a function room for parties, weddings, funerals or any other events you can think of.
We are looking for someone with experience. Salary depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the kitchen team while providing guidance and support where needed.
- Oversee food preparation ensuring food safety regulations are adhered to.
-Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques and food safety practices.
-Ensure all relevant paperwork is kept up to date.
- Develop new menus frequently that reflect current trends.
-Maintain control of stock and supplies.
-Collaborate with FOH staff to ensure service runs smoothly.
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as a senior chef or in a similar role in hospitality.
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team
- Ensure adequacy of supplies at all times
- Manage ingredients that should be frequently available on a daily basis
- Collaborate with other colleagues
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety and hygiene standards
- Patience and cool-headedness and the ability to work under pressure
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 15.00-18.00 per hour
