Barrachnie Children's Nursery LTD is a busy private nursery in the East End of Glasgow. We are in partnership with Glasgow City Council and we offer daycare for a maximum of 94 children at one time.

We are currently looking to recruit a senior practitioner to work alongside our team leader in the sunshine room.

The ideal candidate would be able to;

Work in partnership with the management team to ensure the daily running of the nursery. Adhere to and promote our policies and procedures. Supervise a small team within their playroom. Lead room meetings and promote and support team work. Perform staff inductions and support new staff. Provide a good role model to other employees. Build strong relationships and have excellent daily communication with parents and families. Providing high standards of care & education for babies and toddlers. Plan & observe for the needs of the individual children in your key group. Manage your key children's learning journeys. Maintain ratios at all times. Staff supervisions/appraisals.
You will need the following qualifications, training, and or experience: -

SVQ 3 / HNC or equivalent in childcare. Paediatric First Aid (Desirable) Food Hygiene (desirable). Excellent knowledge & experience Realising the Ambition Have excellent communication and organisational skills. An ability to work in a team. Previous supervisory experience is desirable.
