Senior Claims Handler – Combined

Job Description

We are currently recruiting within our A&H team in our Glasgow office for a Senior Claims Adjuster. Ideally suited to candidates with previous claims handling/adjusting experience, preferably within Accident & Health or similar lines of business. We will also consider experienced claims adjusters with experience gained in other business lines.


The key purpose of this role is to manage a portfolio of complex claims for a specific line of business including coverage analysis, investigation and evaluation of policy liability & legal liability.


Key Responsibilities



Negotiate settlement of claims to bring them to a successful conclusion. This may involve policy holders and other third parties Self-management of own caseload to ensure prompt settlement of files Act as part of a team to ensure both Team and individual goals are met Act as a technical resource and provide guidance on the claims assessment process to junior colleagues Mentoring, training and coaching junior colleagues where relevant

ACII qualification advantageous but not essential Previous end to end claim handling experience Considerable market experience Comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of specialist product line Solid experience in dealing with clients Ability to make own decisions and work on own initiative
