About the role:




The School of Dentistry is seeking to appoint two Senior Clinical Teacher's to join its clinical academic team. Working predominantly with international undergraduate dental students, you will take responsibility for academic teaching, module leadership and for the provision of chairside clinical supervision and training in their final year. The School is based firmly within Primary Care and we run integrated BDS, BDS international, Dental Therapy and Clinical Dental Technology, along with a range of other clinical and non-clinical programmes at all levels across the dental team. Our undergraduate international BDS students are based within a clinical environment for the final year of their programme. You will be based at the Preston Dental Clinic, although there may be some travel to other campus sites on occasion.

About you:




The appointee will have comprehensive long-term experience of primary care dentistry in a General Dental Practice, a Primary Care Clinic, a University or a Hospital environment, along with some experience of teaching within dental setting. Applications must have full current registration with the General Dental Council. Holding a BDS and a formal teaching qualification or be willing to undertake one within two years of appointment is desirable.


A team player, you will have the ability to explain and demonstrate practical skills, be IT literate in the in the use of standard Microsoft packages and will also demonstrate excellent communication skills. We require a commitment both to inter-professional education and to personal and professional development
