Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precise components in accordance with engineering specifications. Duties

Set up CNC machines, including programming and calibration. Monitor machine operation, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards. Liaising with Production Manager for daily production schedules. Senior Operator, co-ordinating a team of 4 Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments on CNC machinery. Handle materials efficiently, including loading raw materials and managing tooling requirements. Use hand tools as needed for assembly or minor repairs. Document production data accurately and report any issues to Production Manager promptly. Assist in the optimisation of manufacturing processes through continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills

Proven experience with fabrication, materials handling. Proficiency in programming CNC machines using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is advantageous. Ability to interpret technical drawings and basic maths skills for measurements and calculations. Experience with warehouse operations or materials organisation is desirable. Competence in using hand tools and performing basic maintenance tasks on machinery. Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure precision in production.
