Air To Heat specialises in the design, supply and installation of air source heat pumps, with an emphasis on pushing up standards in the industry and delivering a high level of customer service to our clients.

Air To Heat is a rapidly growing business in a highly active and exciting new industry. In the last 5 years the heat pump industry has grown over 300% and is expected to continue if not increase on this growth path. The business is actively looking to grow in the marketplace and position itself to lead the heat pump market in London and the Southeast in the next 3 years.

We are based in Bromley, Kent. We cover all of London and the home counties.

We are looking for a proactive Commercial Heating Engineer to join our team to help us with our ever growing requirement for commercial installation projects and maintenance. It is worth noting, we do not require you to have a Gas Safe or a heat pump qualification, but a proven track record of working within large plant rooms is a must. The main role will cover:

Installation and maintenance of commercial Air Source Heat Pumps, including servicing. Complete the installation of new plant rooms. Upgrading Radiators and fan convectors. Complete 1st and 2nd fix pipework on copper and steel pipework. 15mm to to DN100. Including soldering, threading and flanged pipework. Installation of pump sets, filter packs, zones valves, DRV`s and buffer tanks. Installation & Maintenance of un-vented hot water systems. Fault Finding Installation of large domestic heating systems, including heat pumps. All other adhoc tasks to help the company out.
We do a mix of commercial and domestic projects so this role will be adaptive and you will need to have the ability to work on both types of systems. On the domestic side, we only complete brand new installations.

The role will also involve working with and managing an apprentice. So having patience and the ability to train others is key to the role.

We are offering a basic salary of 50,000 to 60,000, depending on experience. You will be given a van, fuel card and company clothing. Company pension as standard with 30 days leave a year.

There will be an option for a performance bonus for those willing to strive and deliver good customer service and help the to as part of a team.

There is also a daily bonus scheme where payments are made for sites that are further afield.

Working Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. Finishing at 4pm on Fridays. 39hr working week.

Ideally you will have the following:

Minimum NVQ level 2/3 in Plumbing & Heating (or similar) Water Regulations Ability to read M&E Drawings, with setting out. Un-Vented G3 Qualification (not essential) Must have a clean full UK driving license At least 3 years commercial expereience Ideally have your own tools and testing equipment (can be subsidised).
