Job Description

On behalf of FCDO, we are looking for a Senior Commercial Manager (Inside IR35) for a 6 month hybrid contract based in London.



Within this role there will be a requirement to travel overseas on the occasion.

As a Senior Commercial Manager, your main responsibilities will be:



Support the Overseas Maintenance Strategy (OMS) priorities and workstreams through delivering on the following initiatives: - Working with stakeholders and suppliers, identify post tender lessons learnt from Washington DC hard FM services tender, and apply these to new procurements. Develop and lead procurements on OMS deliverables in other countries or regions such as Nairobi, Ottawa, Africa (Facilities Management (FM) and/or small and minor works solution), and MENAD. Provide commercial advice and support to the APAC Generation 3 Total Facilities Management (TFM) re-procurement as a part of the wider Commercial Project team to assist with the Outline Business Case (OBC). Lead on the procurement of OED requirements for external support for finance, commercial, real estate expertise/services to assist with the OED efficiencies plan as part of SR Phase 2. This could entail but is not limited to managing the end-to-end procurement life cycle including tenders, providing advice on best route to markets, market engagement exercises and assisting with negotiations and contract variations where possible

Essential:

SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance. The successful candidate will hold a strong end to end procurement background Outstanding stakeholder management skills Strong communicator both written and verbal The successful candidate must demonstrate strong strategic thinking abilities

Desirable:

Experience within Facilities Management Estates background overseas would be advantageous Familiarity with the specific country or region (e.g. Africa, Ottawa, etc Proficiency in tools like SAP Ariba, Jaggaer, Coupa, or similar platforms
