The vacancy




Our busy Marketing and Business Development team is expanding and we are looking for a talented Senior Communications Executive to help shape and deliver impactful communication strategies. In this pivotal role, you will create high-quality, engaging internal and external content that supports our firm's marketing and business development objectives, strengthens our brand and reflects our values. Working closely with colleagues, senior stakeholders and teams across the firm, you will plan, implement and evaluate communication initiatives using insight and data to continually refine our approach.



Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Business Development, you will also contribute to an annual communications plan with clear KPIs and measures of success.



This role can be based at our Hull, Grimsby, or Lincoln office.

Main duties:



External communications

- Collaborate with departments and sector teams to create engaging, high-quality content for the media and the firm's website. Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists and media contacts to enhance the firm's public profile.

Internal communications

- Develop, implement, and refine internal communication strategies. Produce compelling content for internal campaigns and generate creative ideas to enhance engagement on the firm's intranet.

Internal & external communications

- Monitor media coverage and prepare performance reports to evaluate the impact of the firm's communication activities. Deliver training sessions to equip employees with the skills to effectively communicate their messages to target audiences.

Skills required:



Track record of delivering impactful communications in a fast-paced environment Fluent in written and spoken English with exceptional grammatical and accuracy skills Ability to produce excellent first drafts with ability to critique third party content Confident in the delivery of well-researched content for internal and external use, according to given style and assignment specifications Strong editorial judgement and attention to detail Ability to act quickly and react to trending topics as well as simplify complex legal topics for a broader audience Knowledge of how to add value as a communications professional making a solid contribution to the success of the business Experience of SharePoint and the application of video/podcasts for delivering effective communications Experience of working with commercially sensitive information Confident and effective communicator who is able to build good relationships with all colleagues
