Provision of service excellence and maximum operational performance standards ensuring the business meets it statutory and regulatory obligations in addition to its quality & compliance objectives, with particular attention on the company's internal Risk Framework, reviewing and investigating Breaches, Incidents and responding to client's data protection requests.
Responsibilities
Record and investigate incidents raised by the business.
Maintain and update company records.
Reconcile and analyse Incidents to identify any trends requiring changes to procedures.
Feedback to relevant parties on corrective, preventive and enhancement actions.
Act as an escalation point for incidents, breaches, ensuring relevant decisions are taken and issues resolved appropriately and effectively.
Assist in the investigation and resolution of Subject Access Requests, and any data protection related requests.
Assist in investigating and responding to expressions of dissatisfaction, complaints, ensuring relevant decisions are taken and issues resolved appropriately and effectively.
Assist in auditing internal processes and maintaining audit records, as well as reconciling and analysing audit results and action plans to identify any trends requiring changes to procedures.
Liaise with managers across the business to improve understanding, quality, and efficiency.
Act as an escalation point during the change process where an Audit or other business reason, identifies a need for change - Contribute to the maintenance of the International Standard ISO 9001:2015, FCA Authorisation and CSA Membership.
Suggest and initiate process improvement contributing relevant expertise so that operational standards and procedures meet changing needs.
Participate in projects and gathering information for tenders, as and when required.
Produce and report accurate feedback and performance statistics - Ad-hoc duties, as and when required
Skills
The Compliance Officer must be able to clearly demonstrate the presence of core competencies with regards to excellent communication, problem solving, conflict resolution, focus on achievement and quality, continuous improvement and be a team player, and act as an independent advisor to the business. Must be a risk-based thinker with an analytical mind and sound business awareness, be methodical with the ability to work outside the box (essential). Articulate, literate & numerate; be able to understand, explain & succinctly report & test new ideas whilst at the same time justify - both quantifiably & qualitatively, any recommendations; understand the importance & be able to produce and confidently deal with work performance statistics.
