We are seeking an experienced and highly organised senior Site Manager to oversee the construction of a new build Care home project from inception to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating teams, managing resources, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of quality. A strong background in management, supervising teams, and familiarity with microsoft project, teams software are essential for this role. The senior Site Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining safety standards and fostering effective communication among all stakeholders.
Duties
Lead and supervise project teams, including subcontractors and labourers, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines
Develop detailed project look ahead programmes including scheduling, resource allocation, and progress tracking
Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment necessary for project execution
Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, quality standards, and safety compliance
Liaise with clients, consultants, and suppliers to facilitate smooth communication and resolve any issues promptly
Prepare progress reports and documentation for senior management and stakeholders
Manage budgets and control costs effectively throughout the project lifecycle
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with legal requirements, building codes, and environmental regulations
Requirements
Proven management experience in the construction of new build care homes
Supervising experience with a track record of leading successful projects
Proficiency in Microsoft project , teams and outlook.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with diverse teams and stakeholders
Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
Relevant qualifications in construction management or civil engineering are preferred
Valid health & safety certifications (e.g., CSCS card, SMSTS, First aid and TWC or TWS
