The Opportunity





Our established assets and operations team are seeking a Senior Consultant to join them in London on a hybrid basis. The main purpose of the role is to apply your in-depth knowledge and specialist skills of planning, design or operation of Material Handling systems across a range of client projects primarily in the Aviation sector.



The role will include operational performance review and process improvement of material handling systems. You will undertake capacity/demand analysis and operational concept development, with involvement in design development (2D/3D). Working within a multi-disciplinary environment, you will establish client and system requirements, while also mentoring junior staff. You will also develop and review technical reports and client presentations. This will include preparing client proposals and business development collateral, contributing to the development of methodologies, tools and thought leadership papers. You will have the ability to interpret complex technical data into clear communications to influence our clients business drivers.

Is this role right for you?





The role also includes project management activities such as representing Arup at internal/external meetings and developing relationships. You will be planning and organising projects including tracking and reporting on project delivery while demonstrating good commercial discipline. Another aspect of the role will be stakeholder engagement to facilitate the delivery or project outcomes. We would like to hear from people with a relevant background in managing teams and projects to delivery high quality outcomes in material handling systems in aviation within a consulting or in-house environment.



Requirements:




Chartered or working towards chartership with a relevant institute. Good level of 2D/3D design skills. Operational experience in baggage or material handling systems, airfield and/or terminal operations (specifically baggage). Capability in developing business proposals for clients.
