At ITV, the Contract & Rights team is part of the M&E legal team which sits at the heart of ITV's commercial business. The team provides a crucial role within the Media and Entertainment division, including contracting content and ensuring the correct rights information is recorded engaging with many areas of the business that rely on that rights information.

We're looking for a confident and experienced Senior Contracts & Rights Coordinator to join our team in a permanent role, reporting to the Contracts & Rights Manager. This is a key position that blends hands-on contract and rights management with mentoring responsibilities, offering the chance to lead by example while supporting a team of Coordinators. You'll oversee a wide range of programme-related deals - including Development, Commissioning and Acquisition agreements - managing the entire contract lifecycle from drafting to execution. You'll also be a key contact for rights-related queries, ensuring data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and smooth stakeholder communication. As a player-coach, you'll help shape team performance, guide system best practices, and maintain strong relationships with both internal departments and external partners.
Some of your key day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Manage end-to-end contract processes across a portfolio of programme-related deals
Draft, issue and coordinate the signing of contracts using standard templates and precedents
Oversee rights management, including availability, clearances, and regulatory compliance
Handle contract and rights queries from internal and external stakeholders
Ensure accurate data entry and documentation in all relevant systems
Build strong working relationships across internal departments and with external suppliers
Line manage and support the development of a small team of Contracts & Rights Coordinators
Act as a super user and contributor to the ongoing improvement of contract and rights systems
Skills you'll need
(minimum criteria)
Experience managing staff, with a focus on team development and motivation in a customer-focused environment
Practical experience in drafting and administering contracts and/or formal legal training or relevant legal experience
Proven drafting skills with excellent attention to detail
Experience in contracts and data management, ideally within a media and/or legal setting
