Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Contract Manager to oversee and manage contractual agreements within our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent negotiation skills, and a thorough understanding of project management principles, particularly within the construction sector. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with exceptional organisational and communication skills to ensure that all contracts are executed efficiently and in compliance with legal standards.

Senior Contracts Manager

Reports to: Operations Director

Job Purpose

:

Responsible for managing construction projects from inception to completion. The works are predominantly Civil Engineering and Construction in nature.

Key responsibilities:



Full project management of construction projects Lead all site-based activities, ensuring zero accidents and championing ACS values. Establish and maintain project programmes, ensuring timelines and milestones are met. Monitor progress, identify issues, and take corrective actions as required. Manage procurement schedules, liaising with the Buying team and subcontractors. Oversee project budgets, ensuring financial targets are met. Manage project variations, valuations, and final accounts with the Commercial team. Support and review site performance, ensuring compliance with HSQE standards. Maintain strong client relationships, resolving disputes and securing agreement on variations. Promote best practice across all ACS projects, driving continuous improvement. Support Site Managers, ensuring resources are available and teams are trained. Conduct regular site reviews and team meetings to ensure alignment and communication.

Essential Experience & Qualifications:



CSCS Contracts Manager Accreditation SMSTS 5-day qualification Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar role within civil engineering and construction Experience of operating in high-risk environments (energy, renewables, Oil/gas, COMAH) is advantageous Excellent commercial and contractual awareness Strong organisational and communication skills Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently UK driving licence Proactive problem-solving approach

Pay: 60,000.00-70,000.00 per year
