An opportunity has arisen for an experienced

Controls & Electrical Design Engineer

to join an innovative automation business at the forefront of vision and inspection technology.

This role will see you working on the full lifecycle of industrial automation projects -- from initial design and specification through to programming, build, testing, and commissioning. You'll create and develop control systems using Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs, HMIs, and related automation hardware, while also designing and detailing electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.

You'll work closely with design, applications, and project teams to deliver bespoke systems used across high-end manufacturing sectors, ensuring everything from the control architecture to the final on-site commissioning meets the highest standards of quality and reliability.

The position would suit a motivated engineer with several years' experience in PLC programming, electrical design, and machine control -- someone who enjoys the challenge of varied projects and the satisfaction of seeing their work move from concept to completion.

A background in electrical engineering, automation, or machinery design is essential, along with hands-on knowledge of control systems integration and industrial communication protocols such as Profinet, Ethernet/IP, or Profibus. Experience with safety circuits and AutoCAD Electrical would be a strong advantage.
