We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Conveyancing Assistant to support our legal team specialising in property transactions. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth progression of conveyancing files, providing administrative assistance, and maintaining effective communication with clients and stakeholders. Duties
Assist with the preparation and organisation of conveyancing documentation, including contracts, transfer deeds, and mortgage paperwork.
Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, and solicitors to facilitate the exchange of information and documents.
Manage and update case files accurately using legal practice management software.
Monitor deadlines and progress of transactions to ensure timely completion.
Conduct basic property searches and enquiries as required.
Support the legal team with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and scheduling appointments.
Ensure compliance with relevant legal procedures and regulations throughout the conveyancing process.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.
Requirements
Previous experience or knowledge of conveyancing processes is essential. 2+ years.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and comfortable working with case management software.
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
A professional attitude with good interpersonal skills.
