A fantastic opportunity for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to work for our client on a 3 day hybrid in the office/part remote basis in Cambridge. As the Cyber Security Engineer, you will be a key member of the security team and responsible for providing expert level support and guidance to other team members.
You will be responsible for creating and maintaining cyber security controls to identify, protect and respond to any security issues.
The role:
- Provide expert level technical support and assist in the design, implementation and maintenance of secure systems, network and applications.
- Monitor and investigate security incident and vulnerabilities
- Conduct root cause analysis and provide recommendations for remediation and prevention
- Provide expertise in incident handling, containment, eradication and recovery
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, assess and prioritise cyber security risk
- Proven experience in the field of cyber security
- Experience in Microsoft security services, products and architecture
- Strong understanding of security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion, detections, preventions systems, SIEM, antivirus and data loss prevention
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills - the ability to liaise with technical and non technical teams
- In depth knowledge of network security, operating systems, databases, web applications and cloud computing
