We're looking for an exceptional Senior Data Analyst to help us make a difference to our planet.


As our Senior Data Analyst, the job may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in the office and part of the week from home. This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and the location advertised will be your contractual place of work.


Our opportunity is full time, 37 hours per week, but we would also consider applicants wishing to work a minimum of 30 hours per week and we will also try our best to consider those intending to work a job share. You will deliver data-driven intelligence to provide actionable recommendations that enables informed decision making. Your key duties

:


As a member of the enterprise design team focusing within business analysis, you'll have the exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects and programs, supporting our strategy and delivering impactful outcomes. You will report to our lead business analyst and work closely with both analysts and stakeholders, with a particular focus on data-driven projects.

Support for Business Analysis and Enterprise Design

: Work with the Lead business analyst and Enterprise Design Team to integrate data-driven insights, supporting the provision of our guidance, governance, assurance, and community services

Data Analysis and Interpretation

: Leading and owning the problem or opportunity and planning and developing analysis of diverse datasets to uncover data-driven insights, identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities that support business objectives and operational improvements.

Reporting and Visualization

: Supporting the advancement and development of data analysis practices. This includes creating and maintaining clear, impactful reports and interactive dashboards with tools like Power BI to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders throughout the organisation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

: Partner with a wide range of stakeholders and departments to understand requirements, and identify the appropriate deliverables and outcomes to meet business needs

Process Optimisation

: Promoting effective data analysis practices and methodologies to strengthen our analysis by applying proven approaches and best practices, such as using Power Apps and Power Automate, to boost the effectiveness, accuracy, and impact of business analysis outcomes.

As our Senior Data Analyst, your total reward package will be up to 62,019 annually, which includes:

41,725 base pay An outstanding Civil Service pension, with an average employer contribution of 28.97% Recruitment Retention Allowance (RRA) you will be paid 3,600 per annum as a market supplement to reflect the demand for your skills. Whilst in post, you will be paid this market driven allowance from April 2024 until March 2026 in your monthly pay Annual Leave starting at 27.5 days (plus Bank Holidays) rising to 32.5 days (plus Bank Holidays) after 5 years and option to buy or sell up to 5 days per year of annual leave

Expert by Nature

: Advanced expertise in leveraging Microsoft 365 tools, including Excel, Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Automate, to analyse datasets, create interactive visualisations, and automate workflows.

Force for Good

: Proven experience managing teams or projects, with strong coaching and mentoring abilities. Successful track record in developing data analysis capabilities, in line with an organisation's commitment to achieving organisational excellence.

: Demonstrated expertise as a skilled professional acting with integrity and consistently embedding values and purpose at the core of decision-making. Proven track record of delivering high-quality services through stakeholder engagement and putting user needs first.

: Expertise in designing and implementing information and knowledge management systems, ensuring data and information is organised, accessible, and leveraged effectively to support business analysis and enterprise objectives.
