Job Description
Oliver James is working with a leading insurance company that are looking for individuals with a strong background in database development, ETL processes, and cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in MS SQL Server, MS SSIS, Azure DevOps, and other relevant technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining databases, ETL processes, and ensuring seamless data management in a dynamic insurance environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain databases, procedures, views, functions, etc. in MS SQL Server.
- Create and manage ETL packages using MS SSIS.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure proper version control for database objects and SSIS packages using code repositories.
- Implement Agile/SCRUM development practices using Azure DevOps.
- Configure and manage CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for efficient deployment.
- Lead the migration of SQL "on-prem"/VM-based databases to Azure SQL instances.
- Contribute to Cloud Native development efforts.
- Participate in Azure Data Factory development projects.
- Work closely with financial systems in the insurance or related industry to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
