Responsibilities



Working on core analytical platforms, improving performance and pushing edge-case boundaries Developing new computational tools and algorithms for diverse datasets in complex disease analysis Supporting drug discovery projects by generation of data-driven insights Delving into new and existing sets to explain and explore data composition, structure and sparsity Driving the collection, cleaning and verification of new data and the refinement of existing data sources Collaborating to design and develop new tools and products to put powerful decision support interfaces in the hands of end-users Analysing, interpreting and communicating the results of product experiments Working closely with bioinformaticians, biologists, product designers and engineers to identify and answer important product questions This job description is not exhaustive and will be subject to periodic review. Key Requirements



MS. or Ph.D. in a relevant technical field, or 4+ years' experience in a relevant role Experience with developing (in addition to applying) computational tools and algorithms in the fields of bioinformatics, healthcare or other related fields Proficiency with Python for data analysis, pipeline development and visualization Familiarity with command-line Linux or Unix environments and version control software Knowledge of statistics (ideally bio-statistics) and data clustering techniques Knowledge of bioinformatics resources and analyses such as functional and pathway analysis Ability to contribute to drug discovery projects through application of quantitative, data science or bioinformatics approaches

Nice to have:



Familiarity with R and/or relational databases and SQL would be a strong advantage Familiarity with workflow management systems (such as Cromwell or Nextflow) and/or containerization (such as Docker) would be a plus Experience working with large data sets, Trusted Research Environments (TREs) and/or cloud computing platforms (AWS or Google Cloud) would be advantageous Familiarity with analysis of genomics, proteomics or transcriptomics data and/or electronic health records Experience with advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms would be a plus

Pay: 58,000.00-65,000.00 per year
