The Role

As a Senior Data Scientist in our DASA team, you'll be driving MAG's mission to become a truly data-driven business. You'll play a key role in designing and deploying advanced AI and machine learning models that help optimise operations, increase efficiency, and deliver smarter insights to inform key decisions across the business.

You'll tackle projects such as forecasting passenger spend, optimising driver routes and the use of car park space, and using AI to monitor alternative data channels like CCTV and social media. You'll also support junior team members, contribute to the growth of our internal data science capability, and ensure that our analytical outputs are both actionable and aligned with our strategic goals.

What will make you successful in the role?

You'll be a seasoned data scientist with experience working with large, complex data sets, as well as architecting and deploying ML models into production. You'll be fluent in Python -- writing readable, testable, and maintainable code comes naturally to you. You'll be comfortable with cloud-based tools like AWS SageMaker and Lambda, and you'll know your way around Git, SQL, and common Python data science libraries (like pandas/polars, scikit-learn, xgboost/lightGBM, and TensorFlow/PyTorch). Bonus points if you've worked with linear programming, or have experience in time series forecasting, agent-based modelling, and space allocation optimisation.

You'll have a proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate complex insights clearly to a wide audience. Your strong business acumen and curiosity will help you ask the right questions, explore the data deeply, and uncover valuable opportunities.
