Location: City of London (Hybrid - 3 days in the office)

Rate: Up to 425/day - Inside IR35 (via payroll company)

Contract: 12 months initial term with extension potential

We're on the lookout for a Senior Databricks Engineer to take on a hands-on, technically rewarding contract role with a leading organisation in the City of London.

What you'll do

Build, optimise and maintain scalable data pipelines and ELT workflows on Databricks (Medallion architecture). Apply your deep knowledge of data modelling, quality, and integration to deliver real business value. Partner with architects, analysts and product teams to deliver reliable, high-quality datasets. Share your expertise by documenting, mentoring and contributing to platform evolution. Be part of an agile squad driving modern engineering practices.

What we're looking for

Experience in data engineering across big data and relational environments. Strong hands-on expertise with Azure Databricks, ADLS, Data Factory, Synapse, SQL DB. Advanced skills in Python, SQL, and modern ETL/ELT tooling (Informatica IICS, ADF, Databricks Notebooks, Delta Lake). Proven experience delivering cloud-first data solutions with best practices in modelling, security, and quality. Great communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and passion for problem-solving. * Cloud/Databricks certifications - a huge plus.
