Senior Design Engineer

who would like to help us reach our mission to "earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service".

Coventry or Childerditch is the preferred location of this role. Alternative locations may be considered for the right candidate.

Purpose of this role

Responsible for the process of completing fit for purpose design and/or variation to the approved design standards after acceptance has been achieved and issuing construction packs.

Your key responsibilities are

Managing own design team to deliver compliant and fit for purpose designs in a timely manner.

Ensuring the team liaise with relevant stake holders including clients, incumbents and internal teams.

Driving efficiency by monitoring team performance against productivity standards.

Assess team training and development needs.

Ensure adoption standards are met.

Ensure any design related cost and programme impact is identified and addressed accordingly.

Support Design Manager in team development and motivation.

Any other duties as required by the manager.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering or related technical qualification.

Experience/Knowledge

Knowledge of current Legislation, Technical Standards, Codes of Practice and Engineering.

Recommendations.

Abilities/Skills

Excellent verbal communication skills.

Desirable

Masters degree, CEng or Ieng or industry relevant technical qualification.

Multi Utility knowledge.

Level 3 in Designing Water Networks.

Conditions of Employment
