Senior or Principal \xe2\x80\x93 Building Services Design Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical)

Our client, a London based buildings design engineer are seeking a Building Services Design Engineer with a focus on Mechanical or Electrical engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing building systems, including HVAC, lighting, power distribution, and plumbing. Your primary objective will be to create efficient, safe, and sustainable solutions that meet the clients\' needs.

This role is offered on a hybrid basis (2 days per week in the ofice, and 3 days per week from home)

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop building systems, focusing on Mechanical or Electrical engineering aspects.
• Collaborate with project teams to gather requirements and develop design strategies.
• Create detailed engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Evaluate system performance and propose improvements for energy efficiency.
• Coordinate with contractors and other stakeholders during the construction phase.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project progress and quality.

Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in building services design engineering, with a focus on either Mechanical or Electrical systems.
• Proficiency in relevant design software and tools.
• Strong knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations in the building services industry.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
