Senior Design engineer: Mechanical

Job Purpose:

Working closely with the Senior Engineering Manager, within a team of Mechanical, Electrical and Project Engineers in the generation of detailed designs of automated investment casting systems and equipment.

Reporting to Senior Manager: Engineering

Duties & ResPonsibilities:

Design and develop new concepts to improve the performance and value of machinery used in the investment casting process. Mathematical calculation, including stress analysis, and heat transfer. Detailed design and development of Automation Systems and Equipment (existing product range). Creating and implementing product design standards and procedures. Creation of technical specifications/documentation for the selection and development of equipment. Creating bills of materials to ensure that all components required are ordered in line with project deadlines. Provide internal technical product support.
Essential Skills & Experience:

Extensive experience in mechanical design. Extensive CAD Experience 2D and 3D. Ability to effectively present design solutions to the engineering manager. Self-disciplined approach to achieving engineering deadlines and objectives. Problem-solving, both as part of a team and individually. Strong written communication skills. Ability to mentor and guide mechanical design engineers.
Qualifications:

M.Eng / B.Eng Mechanical or Mechatronic degree qualification preferred. HNC / HND with additional experience.

Pay: 37,000.00-51,000.00 per year
